2025 Organization of the Year – Thank You WYBSL Family! We are incredibly honored that the Westerville Youth Baseball & Softball League has been recognized as Organization of the Year by the City Government of Westerville, Ohio.
Founded in 1951, the WYBSL has grown from just four teams into one of Central Ohio’s most cherished community traditions. As we celebrate our 75th season, more than 1,500 young athletes take the field each year through our baseball, softball, and tee-ball programs. But this recognition is not about the league itself, it belongs to the people who make it possible, our volunteers.
In the 2025 season alone, our coaches and staff volunteered over 18,000 hours supporting 136 teams. That doesn’t even begin to count the countless hours from our board members, umpires, team parents, and families who help make every season possible.
Thank you to our incredible coaches who teach the game while building confidence and character.
Thank you to our volunteers and staff who work behind the scenes to keep everything running.
Thank you to our board members who dedicate their time year-round to ensure every child has the opportunity to play.
For generations of Westerville families, these fields have been more than just places to play baseball and softball. They are places where friendships are formed, confidence grows, and community comes together. Many of today’s coaches once played on these same fields, a reminder that the WYBSL tradition continues because of the people who care enough to give their time.
