Human Resource Volunteers

Each year, WYBSL has to fill more than 700 volunteer positions. Human Resource volunteers help recruit, contact and schedule other volunteers for all WYBSL programs and activities.

Position:  Recruitment Volunteer Group
Works With:  Human Resources Director
Number of Volunteers Needed:  3-6

Time Required:

• 1-4 Hours per week from February through June
• 1-4 Hours per week from July through September

Position Description:  Working with other volunteers and the Human Resources Director:

• Solicit volunteer participation
• Contact and qualify adults who have offered to help
• Forward offers to appropriate League Managers and confirm participation.

Most work is done independently by telephone or email – from home.

Skill or Other Requirements: None; training will be provided

Position:  Training Volunteer Group
Works With:  Human Resources and Program Directors
Number of Volunteers Needed:  2-4

Time Required:  Projects and Time Needs Vary
Position Description:  Working with the Baseball, Softball, Tee-Ball, Public Relations and Umpire Managers:

• Help to identify, develop, improve and compile training agendas, resources and materials (such as the ‘coaches toolbox’)
• Work with League Managers to coordinate and implement training sessions and clinics.
