Registration Volunteers
WYBSL volunteers register more than 2,700 young people and hundreds of adult coaches each year. It’s a big job and a lot of help is needed. Some tasks can be completed in a few days, while others require a longer commitment.

Position: Registration Committee Members
Works With: Registration Director
Number of Volunteers Needed: 3-4
Time Required:
- 2-4 Hours per week from January through April (plus 4 walk-in registration sessions on Saturdays)
- 2-4 Hours per week from June through September (plus 2 walk-in registration sessions on Saturdays)
Position Description:
- Assist in updating procedures, forms and other materials
- Help to organize and operate mailing efforts
- Assist with mail and walk-in registration sessions
- Follow up with registrants for missing and/or additional information needed.
Skill or Other Requirements: None; training will be provided
Position: Mailing Assistance Volunteer Group
Works With: Registration Director
Number of Volunteers Needed: 25-30
Time Required:
- 1 evening in early February
- 1 evening in early June
Position Description:
- Help to assemble, label and prepare our pre-registration mailings in February and June
Skill or Other Requirements: None; training will be provided
Position: Walk-in Registration Volunteer Group
Works With: Registration Director
Number of Volunteers Needed: 3-5 each day
Time Required:
- Spring registration – March 2, 9 and 16 (9:30 AM – 1:30 PM)
- Fall registration – July 13 and 20 (9:30AM – 1:30PM)
Position Description:
- Help register the 25-30% of our families who register in person – answering questions, accepting and reviewing applications, collecting fees and listing registrants.
