PLAY (FALL) BALL
FALL BALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Spring 2019 and Fall 2018 players will receive our newsletter, complete with comprehensive registration information, in mid-June. You can also view the newsletter here.
FALL BALL continues to be an important part of the overall WYBSL program. In 2019, WYBSL offers 11 fall leagues in boys’ baseball (6-17), girls’ softball (6-15) and coed tee-ball (4-5). Each year, almost 900 players take part in our Fall Ball program playing at Highlands, Hoff Woods, Huber Village, Towers and Walnut Ridge Parks — and Westerville’s High Schools. Preseason practices begin in mid-August and the season runs from the start of school through mid-October. Teams generally play on Saturdays and one weeknight each week.
FALL BALL HIGHLIGHTS
Play with a Friend – While we again try to honor requests to play with one friend (or coach together), we want everyone to understand the procedure we will use. In order to be put on a team with one friend or be paired with another coach, both players must list each other as “1st Choice” on their registration forms and received by the deadline posted in the fall newsletter. We will not necessarily honor requests of more than one person who lists the same friend. And we will not allow any “chaining”, where one player lists one friend who lists another friend and so on.
Fall Ball Family Discount – Families registering for Fall Ball can now take advantage of a significant discount. The first two players in a family register at full fees while all others only pay $25 each!
High School Baseball League – once again in this year, in partnership with the Westerville High Schools, all Boys’ Black Hat (High School) games will be played on Varsity fields at Westerville North, South and Central High Schools. Combined with the unique mix of recreational and high school players, WYBSL’s Fall High School league offers unparalleled value and experience.
